Tanya McGregor
Chief Executive Officer
Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia
My work is grounded in community, culture, and connection. As a proud Yawaru woman with strong family links to Broome, I carry with me the values of respect, responsibility, and collective care that guide everything I do.
As CEO of the Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia (AHCSA), I’m honoured to lead a team committed to ensuring Aboriginal health remains in Aboriginal hands. Together with our Member Services and communities, we work to strengthen culture, grow leadership, and deliver lasting change through health systems that reflect who we are as Aboriginal people.
Over more than a decade in Aboriginal health leadership — including as South Australia’s Chief Aboriginal Health Officer — I’ve focused on building partnerships that respect cultural knowledge, empower communities, and create space for Aboriginal voices to lead. What inspires me most is seeing community leadership flourish — our people leading solutions, nurturing culture, and creating opportunities for the generations to come.
