
Sinon Cooney

Sinon Cooney has worked with the Katherine West Health Aboriginal Board since 2007 and has been its chief executive officer since 2019. He began his career as a remote area nurse in Lajamanu and has dedicated his professional life to Aboriginal primary health care and addressing the broader determinants of health.
Over more than a decade in leadership roles, Sinon has helped guide the organisation’s service delivery across the Katherine region. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Health, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and represents AMSANT on the Northern Territory Aboriginal Health Forum (NTAHF).
