Marion Dwyer has dedicated her entire career to aged care and has extensive experience in various settings including residential, community and home care. She is currently the Senior Coordinator –Lead Workforce Training Coordinator, Queensland at QAIHC, where she plays a pivotal role training and supporting the Elder Care workforce in the state.
Before joining QAIHC in early 2024, Marion was a Senior Case Manager for Home Care Packages at Uniting NSW.ACT in the Northern Rivers (2016-2019). She then worked at Brisbane South Primary Health Network (BSPHN) from 2019 to 2022, where she successfully delivered the Aged Care Navigator Trials and the My Aged Care Agent Pilot scheme. Following the completion of the trials in late 2022, Marion joined Footprints Community as a Carefinder, the mainstream equivalent to Elder Care Support. Marion’s personal journey took a meaningful turn recently when she discovered her father was a Kamilaroi man, marking the beginning of her exploration of her Aboriginal heritage.
